Avril Lavigne made pause on her hectic schedule and shared a romantic night with husband Deryck Whibley. The couple was spotted enjoying a dinner at Madeo restaurant yesterday night (July 20) in Los Angeles. In other news, Lavigne will apparently going to be paid around $2 m in ads for her video “Girlfriend,” which has earned the  “Most Watched” status on Internet popular site YouTube.

Avril Lavigne releases her own clothing collection. The singer has made a foray into the fashion world and has debuted with an exclusive line for Kohl's. Avril reveals she was inspired right from her own closet, with all things she would sport on stage and daily life. "My music and my clothes are really a reflection of who I am, and it's been really cool to see that resonate with my fans."

           

Rumors are buzzing that Avril Lavigne fans are cheating YouTube to boost views of her video. The singer’s music video ‘Girlfriend” is less than 1 million views to land the first place on YouTube’s most viewed videos. According to reports, the first single of 2007 album Best Damn Thing, which has 89,263,935 views on the popular site, has won its view by fraud. Her followers set up the website, www.avrilbandaids.com/youtubeviewer.html that refreshes every 15 seconds, in order to add up visits. Before the website was launched on June 19, the music video only received 120,000 views.

Avril Lavigne is set to debut with a lead role on the big screen, according to reports. The singer’s previous forays into the movies include minor roles in last year's 'The Flock' and 2006 film 'Fast Food Nation.' Avril describes this new chance as completely different to her last work. She told The London Paper, "I've got a film role coming up - something you wouldn't expect from me, something deep and dark."
